Following an extensive investigation, Beaumont police believe the June 7th shooting death of
Yasin Jones was accidental. Following the shooting in the 5600 block of Concord, Jones was
transported to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital by private vehicle. He later died. It is believed
that people involved went to great lengths to cover up the shooting. The investigation is
ongoing and charges have not been filed at this time.
