The Jefferson County grand jury has indicted a Beaumont man for failure to register as a sex
offender. 49-year old Kerry Babineuax, of Beaumont, was convicted of a sexual assault in
1997 and sentenced to 10 years in prison. As part of the sentence he is required to register
as a sex offender every year on his birthday or when he moves. He recently moved and did
not comply.
