A man is jailed facing multiple charges. Police say 40-year old Joseph Raymond Murphy
entered the Shop N Save in the 2600 block of South 4th yesterday afternoon and began
shattering bottles. He then went outside, removed his clothes, and shattered used his hand
to shatter a windshield. He fought with officers once they arrived. Once in custody, he
was taken to the hospital for treatment to his hand and then to jail. Murphy is charged with
assault on a public servant, harassment of a public servant, and resisting. All officers involved
were treated for their injuries and exposure and Murphy had spit on them.
