Beaumont police detained five males that could be responsible for several auto burglaries across
the city. Police were called to Academy on Eastex Freeway yesterday afternoon about a theft in
progress. Police were able locate the suspect’s vehicle. Inside the vehicle a bag containing five
handguns, magazines, and ammunition was found. Two adults and three juveniles were taken
to the police station for questioning.
