Two arrests have been made in connection with Tuesday afternoon’s shooting death of
23-year old Olajuwon Vaughns, whose body was found in the 3100 block of Eastex Freeway
in Beaumont. 18-year old Matthew Clevenger, of Lufkin, was arrested yesterday in Lufkin.
A 16-year old juvenile was taken into custody in Alexandria, Louisiana. Both have been charged
with murder. Clevenger was transported to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility. The
juvenile was booked into the Minnie Rogers Juvenile Detention Center.
