Tex-Dot has announced nearly $160 million has been awarded to widen sections of I-10 and
Highway 69 in Beaumont. $128 million has been awarded to Johnson Bros. Corporation to widen
I-10 from FM 365 to Walden Road. Work will begin in the fall and last approximately five
years. $31 million has been awared to Oldcastle Materials Texas Inc to widen Highway 69
from the I-10 interchange to the LNVA Canal. Construction will begin in the fall and last
approximately four years.
