The annual sales tax holiday weekend is here. Now through Sunday, clothing, footwear,
school supplies, and backpacks priced under $100 can be purchased tax free. This will save
shoppers about $8 on every $100 they spend. Lists of apparel and school supplies that are
tax free can be found on the state comptroller’s webpage at TexasTaxHoliday.org. This
has been an annual sales event since 1999.
