A Texas state trooper suffered non-life threatening injuries yesterday afternoon after his patrol
unit was struck by a car on Highway 62, near FM 105 in Orange County yesterday afternoon.
The trooper made a u-turn to initiate a traffic stop on reckless driver. Due to wet conditions,
the DPS vehicle was struck from behind by a car. The driver of the car, 44-year old Donna
Stewart, of Orange, and her passenger were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening
injuries. The investigation continues.
