Police have released additional information on Wednesday’s standoff that lasted around nine
hours in Beaumont. 36-year old Steven Hemingway is charged with terroristic threat-family
violence, felon in possession of a firearm, and two counts of endangering a child as there were
two children, age 6 and 6 months in the home with him during the standoff. Hemingway also
had an outstanding warrant for a motion to revoke probation.
