FEMA has awarded $51.9 million to the Texas General Land Office as a reimbursement
for the management and execution of the Partial Repair and Essential for Sheltering program
following Harvey. The Preps program provided emergency repairs and power restoration
to single-family, owner-occupied homes. This FEMA grant of $51.9 had a 10% nonfederal
match. The total estimated cost of the Preps program, with previous reimbursements, was more
than $228 million.
