The DPS reports a 16-year old girl from Orange was killed in a two vehicle wreck in Tyler
County yesterday afternoon. She was a passenger in a car that crossed the center line on FM
1013, five miles east of Spuger, and struck another vehicle head on. The teen was transported
to Tyler County Hospital where she died. She was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from
the car. The driver of the car, 25-year old Carley Buckley of Fred, and a 16-year old front
seat passenger sustained serious injuries. The driver of the Mustang, 22-year old Karli Mears of
Porter sustained serious injuries.
