The DPS has released the name of a 16-year old girl that was killed in a two vehicle wreck on
FM 1013 in Tyler County Wednesday afternoon. Marissa Gilchriest, of Orange, was a backseat
passenger in a car that crossed into oncoming traffic east of Spurger striking an oncoming car
head-on. She was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the car. The driver of her vehicle
and another passenger were last listed in serious condition as was the driver of the second car.
The DPS is investigating the wreck.
