A married Fort Polk soldier and his girlfriend are in custody after the body of the soldier’s
wife was discovered in the trunk of a car Sunday night. Calcasieu Parish deputies stopped
the vehicle in Lake Charles after getting a call from the Beauregard Sheriff’s Office that a
woman was driving around with a body in the trunk. Investigators say 22-year old Corporal
Logan Kyle is suspected of the on-base killed of his wife. He and 24-year old Sarah Parker
of Moss Bluff were allegedly driving around with her two children in the car looking for a
place to dump the body.
