A Jefferson County grand jury has indicted a Beaumont man for murder. 36-year old Davis
Walters is charged with the September 30th stabbing death of Kiara Joubert at the Landmark
Apartments in the 3100 block of French Road in Beaumont. Walters was arrested at the
scene. During his interview with police, he stated he forced his way into Joubert’s apartment,
assaulted her, then stabbed her multiple times.
