A man is jailed for stealing an ambulance last night. Beaumont police report the man had
just been released from Baptist Hospital when he drove off in an Acadian Ambulance parked
outside the hospital. Using a GPS tracking device, police located the ambulance at Central
Park, where it had been crashed into a tree totaling the vehicle. The suspect was standing
near the ambulance and was taken into custody.
