A Jefferson County grand jury has indicted a Beaumont man on 10 counts of possession of
child pornography. In February of last year, Beaumont police went to a home in the 700 block
of Palm in reference to a suicide. While investigating the suicide, police saw images of child
pornography on a computer screen. Police unveiled 28 items on flash drives that contained
images of females under the age of 18. 63-year old Charles Augustus Bamber Jr., of Beaumont,
was indicted yesterday.
