The NTSB has released a preliminary report from a helicopter crash near Uvalde that killed
an Orangefield woman and her husband. 24-year old Bailee Ackerman Byler and William
Byler died in the crash just hours after their wedding along with the pilot Gerald Lawrence
on November 4th. The helicopter hit a hill about 100 feet from the top, about five miles from
the ranch where it had taken off from. Wreckage spread up to 100 yards along the hillside.
It is not known when a final report will be released.
