The Chambers County Public Health Department has confirmed a case of West Nile Virus.
The case was recently reported in the western part of the county. The patient has since been
released from the hospital. This is an isolated case and the Chambers County Mosquito
Control Department has an active spraying program. Those that are at the greatest risk of
West Nile Virus are over the age of 50 and have chronic illnesses.
