Detectives with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a shooting. Deputies were
called to the Texaco at the intersection of Highway 62 and Highway 12 in Mauriceville and
found the victim with a gunshot wound to the leg. He was airlifted to Christus St. Elizabeth
Hospital in Beaumont. The 32-year old suspect was arrested in the Greenwood Acres
neighborhood and transported to the Orange County Jail.
