A Beaumont child died after being struck by a vehicle near Dayton Saturday evening.
The child was walking with his parents in the 8200 block of FM 1960 to view Christmas
lights at the Wright’s lights display when he ran into traffic. The boy was airlifted to Texas
Children’s Hospital in Houston where he died. At this time, no charges have been filed.
The DPS is investigating.
