Charges have been filed against a Beaumont man for Tuesday’s shooting at Honey’s
Drive-In, located in the 3100 block of Concord in Beaumont. The 28-year old victim
was shot multiple times. He is expected to recover. The suspect, 22-year old Anthony
Eric Manning, was stopped by Beaumont police on Magnolia Street and arrested.
Manning is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Witnesses told officers
that victim and two other adults, who had four young children with them, met up with
Manning to buy drugs. Manning is expected to face additional charges as he was in possession
of a gun and drugs at the time of his arrest.
