The average price for a gallon of gas in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area has dipped under $2.00.
This morning’s average price, according to Triple A Texas, is $1.96, which is down a nickel
from last week. Last year on this date we were paying $2.20 a gallon. The statewide average is
also $1.96, which is down five cents. This morning’s national average checks in at $2.28, that is
down six cents from a week ago.
