Two Felons Arrested Following Traffic Stop

A traffic stop by Jefferson County deputies this past weekend ended with two Beaumont

men going to jail on multiple charges. A deputy attempted to stop a speeding car on I-10

east, near the 843 mile marker. The car continued eastbound and eventually pulled over

on Smith Road. Inside the vehicle, deputies found an AR-15 rifle with a loaded magazine,

a loaded glock handgun, marijuana, Xanax, and drug paraphernalia. The driver, 24-year old

Jared Bias and a passenger 31-year old Jacoby Lowe were both arrested and transported to

the Jefferson County Correctional Facility. Both men are convicted felons and have

outstanding warrants.
