The American Red Cross has awarded more than $62 million in recovery grants to 142 non-
profit organizations helping impacted communities rebuild and recover along the Texas
Gulf Coast from damage left behind by Hurricane and Tropical Storm Harvey.Organizations
here in southeast Texas receiving grant money includes Habitat for Humanity of Jefferson
County, Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation in Port Arthur, Nutrition and Services for Meals on
Wheels, and the Julie Rogers Gift of Life program.
