A 35-year old Jefferson County man has sentenced to prison. Raphael Dimineck Sam received
life in prison for an aggravated robbery and 99 years in prison for an aggravated kidnapping.
In March of last year, Sam forced a man at gunpoint into a Beaumont home on Avenue I, where
the victim was beaten with the gun and stabbed in the back. Sam also stole the victim’s cash,
watch and cell phone. He was sentenced yesterday by a Jefferson County Jury. Sam has charges
of robbery, assault family-violence, and sexual assault pending in Jefferson County.
