The DPS reports a 66-year old Beaumont man was killed last night after he was struck by a
car on South Broadway Street in China. The victim was laying in a curled position in the
road when he was hit. The driver of the car, a 39-year old Beaumont man, slammed on his
brakes and could not avoidhitting the man. The victim, whose name has not been released,
was pronounced dead at the scene.
