On Wednesday, we told about the DPS teaming up with other agencies in the Move Over/
Slow Down campaign. Here are the results from the enforcement on Cardinal Drive in
Beaumont. A total of 56 violators were contacted. As previously mentioned, the law
requires motorists to move over to the left lane or slow down under the posted speed limit
if there is an emergency vehicle with its lights activated on the shoulder of the highway. This
includes law enforcement vehicles, EMS, Tex-Dot vehicles, or tow trucks.
