Classes at all Newton ISD campuses have been cancelled through Wednesday after it has been
learned an employee is being treated for meningitis. Thursday and Friday are already scheduled
school holidays, meaning classes in Newton will resume one week from today. All schools are
being thoroughly cleaned. Parents are being advised to watch their children’s health and seek
medical attention if needed.
