The murder trial of 19-year old Jacques Germaine McDaniel is underway at the Jefferson
County Courthouse. McDaniel is on trial for the June 2016 shooting death of 30-year old
Christopher Maurice Gibson. The shooting occurred in the 4600 block of Maddox in Beaumont.
McDaniel faces up to life in prison if he is convicted.The trial is taking place in Judge Raquel
West’s courtroom.
