A Beaumont man accused of planting two explosive devices in Beaumont last year has
pleaded not guilty. Jonathan Torres entered the plea yesterday afternoon in a Beaumont
federal courtroom. One of the devices was found outside of Starbucks on Dowlen Road.
The second activated and caused damage to a Beaumont church on Delaware Street.
Torres’ preliminary hearing is set for April 15th.
