SHERIFF’S REPORT 02/25/2019

Hope all has been going good.I been puny with the bug.Special thanks to Dr. Rutledge for healing me up and my bride for putting up with a grouchy old man.

Deputy Berry recovered a stolen U-Haul truck in the Deweyville area.It was entered stolen when he recovered it.After some investigation we found out it was stolen out of Orange.Good job Chris.

Received a report of a theft out on FM 1416. Seems some thugs stole a wood splitter and a well pump.If you hear about a good deal on these items, please let us know.

Had a good friend report someone broke into his storage building north 87, Orange county. Trophy wild game mounts were stolen.Deer, axis deer, antelope, bear hide other exotics.Anyone hear of anyone selling these items, please let us know.

We had several traffic accidents over the weekend.A fatal accident in Pine Grove.A four-wheeler accident where we had to life flight a lady.Several more accidents with injuries.A bad weekend on Newton County roads.

We had several reports of vehicles drag racing on FM 1416.We catch you, it’s going to cost you a small fortune.

A lady was found shot in the chest and a pistol laying next to her.After doing a thorough investigation, the judge ruled it was self-inflicted.So sad.

Gotta go.Thought for the week:Three groups spend other people’s money, children thieves, politicians.All three-need supervision.Ya’ll have agreat week and if we can help, just holler.Lots of tragedy in Newton County last week, please pray for these families.
