A man shot by Hardin County deputies earlier this month has died. 27-year old Michael
McCray died at a Houston hospital on Sunday. On March 10th, McCray attempted to run
over a deputy with his vehicle near Sour Lake. McCray then attempted to force his way
into a residence to get to a woman and children who were inside the home where there was a
protective order against him. At that time he was shot by deputies. A 4-year old girl
was shot in the leg during the ordeal. She is undergoing treatment.
