Two suspected thieves are jailed after posting items they stole for sale on social media. A victim
whose residence was burglarized earlier this month, called Beaumont police after seeing their
property for sale of Facebook. After setting up a location, Beaumont police arrested 20-year old
Deandre Phifer, of Jasper and 20-year old Demarria Tims, of Wiergate. They were in possession
of a stolen laptop computer. Both had outstanding warrants in Jasper. A further investigation lead
to the search of a home in the 8000 block of Gladys, where additional stolen items werefound.
