Explosion Near Crosby

(Crosby, TX) -- Two medical helicopters and several ambulances are on scene of a chemical facility explosion and fire near Houston. EMTs are setting up shop in a parking lot close to KMCO [[ KIM-COH ]] in Crosby after the blast happened late this morning. Thick, black columns of smoke can be seen billowing from the center of the facility, then being pushed south. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez says there are reports two workers were injured but details were still being figured out. Multiple people on social media are claiming the explosion could be felt miles away. School districts in the area are sheltering in place. It is the second large chemical plant fire in the Houston area in the last month after a gas tank farm at ITC plant in Deer Park blew up.
