Entergy-Texas reports it will be sometime today before all power is restored from Sunday’s
storm. At the peak of the storm, over 25,000 customers were without power. As of late
yesterday afternoon, about 1,500 customers, including 600 in Jefferson County remained
without power. Due to the extent of storm damage, some customers in the Beaumont area
won’t see their power restored until today. In Bevil Oaks, about two dozen spans were down,
three poles are broken and several transformers have been damaged. Estimated restoration
for Bevil Oaks is 4:00 this afternoon. About 80 crews are working on the outages.
