An online petition is being launched in hopes to end the Go Topless Jeep Weekend at Crystal
Beach Thousands of people have signed the Change.org request which says the annual event
has become too much of a danger for people in Crystal Beach. The petition says party goers
are showing blatant irresponsibility and gross negligence. There were over 600 calls for service
over the weekend in Crystal Beach with dozens of arrests. A 21- year-old man is recovering
from serious injuries he suffered in an accident at the Jeep festival Tanner Francis was riding on
the bed of a pickup truck when he fell out and it ran over his head. His skull was fractured and
he nearly lost his left ear. Francis is able to communicate with his family so far. There
were more than 100 arrests at this year's event, as well as eight major traffic accidents.
