A Port Arthur man has pleaded guilty to an insurance fraud scheme. In 2011, 50-year old
Patrick Wayne Bronnon, and others, began executing a scheme to defraud various insurance
companies through fraudulent claims on homes and vehicles. More than $1.7 million was
collected in fraudulent payments on nine different addresses in Port Arthur, Port Neches,
Nederland, and Sugarland. As part of his plea agreement, has agreed to a sentence of 15
years in federal prison. However, sentencing will be determined by the court based of the
advisory sentencing guidelines and other statutory factors.
