Early voting for the June 8th runoff election begins today. In Beaumont, there is a runoff for
the Ward 1 council seat between incumbent Virginia Jordan and challenger Taylor Neild.
They were to top two vote getters in the May 4th election in the three person race. There will
be a runoff for mayor in Port Arthur. Incumbent Derrick Freeman is in a runoff with former
Justice of the Peace Thurman Bartie. Early voting will continue through June 4th.
