The suspect wanted for attacking a Sour Lake police officer last night is in custody. The
officer suffered severe head injuries at a convenience store, located at Highway 326 &
Highway 105 in Sour Lake. The suspect stole the officer’s car, which was found on
Highway 326 near Kountze. They suspect was arrested this morning following an overnight
search. The officer was airlifted to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital and was listed in critical
condition.
