On Tuesday. May 28, 2019, at 7:26 AM, the Vidor Police Department received a call a possible body floating in a private pond in the 19000 Block of IH-10 near the intersection of Old Hwy 90 and the IH-10 EB service road. With the assistance of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and Orange County ESD #1, the body was recovered. Due to the body being in the water for an extended amount of time, the Vidor Police Department is unable to identify the subject or cause of death. An autopsy was ordered by Justice of the Peace, Rodney Price. The Vidor Police Department is awaiting the Medical Examiner to make identification. The body is believed to be that of a W/M adult. The Vidor Police Department is reviewing all missing persons reports in the area.
