The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the escape of two teenagers, ages 15 and 16,
from the Hardin County Juvenile Detention Center Saturday morning. A detention worker was
knocked to the ground and sustained minor injuries. One of the escapees was captured within
minutes a few blocks from the courthouse. The second was captured two hours later on West
Deer Street in Kountze. Both teens are facing 2nd degree felony escape charges.
