The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of a deputy sheriff that was shot with
a crossbow last week. Deputy Tom Lee and a mental health case worker were called to a home
on Old Sour Lake Road when Lee was shot above the left eye. Deputy Lee, returned fire striking
the suspect, 38-year old Taylor Shackleford. Shackleford, who was released from the hospital
yesterday, is expected to be arraigned today. Deputy Lee was released from the hospital on
Friday.
