The lights are back on for the residents of Bolivar Peninsula. Thousands were left in the dark
after a heavy storm hit the area on Saturday. Power outages continued through yesterday for the
peninsula. Officials with Entergy-Texas said crews were working to restore power, and gave the
estimated time of restoration as 8 p.m. Sunday. Entergy’s Web site map showed power had
been restored to the entire peninsula, from High Island to Port Bolivar, by about 2 this morning
