A Beaumont man is jailed after fleeing from Beaumont police following multiple burglaries.
Police were called to the Super 8 Motel Sunday morning at College & I-10 where several
cell phones had been stolen. Police were able to locate the suspect through one of the victim’s
cell phone pinging. Following a pursuit, the victim crashed his car on Cardinal Drive and two
men ran into a wooded area. One of the suspect, 26year old Dionte Rideaux, is charged with
evading in a motor vehicle, and evading with previous convictions. He also has an outstanding
warrant. The second suspect has been identified. Charges are pending against him.
