reporting the average price for a gallon of gas in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area is $2.41, which
is up five cents from last week. The statewide average is up eight cents to $2.46 a gallon. This
morning’s national average for a gallon of gas jumped six cents to $2.74 a gallon.
