Port Arthur firefighters were called to battle a fire around 2:30 this morning at the Worldwide
Sorbents warehouse on Lakeshore Drive. Heavy flames were coming from the building when
they arrived on the scene. The company makes absorbent materials used in chemical spills.
The Port Arthur fire department was assisted by the Port Neches and Groves fire departments.
There were no injuries and the cause has not been determined.
