A Beaumont woman that tried to escape following her arrest in Jefferson County has been indicted
for felony escape. Ebony Kay Broussard was arrested last month for assault on a public servant
and drug charges. While at the jail, she was able escape from a holding cell through a ceiling
panel. She was located near the parking lot. Broussard is facing an additional 10 years for the
escape.
