A man involved in an altercation with a Newton County constable this past Sunday has been
arraigned. 34-year old John Adam Falcon, a Louisiana resident, is being held in theNewton
County Jail on a $250,000 bond. Constable Holton “Bubba” Johnson approached Falcon, who
was sitting in his car outside the Toledo Bend Church. Johnson noticed a gun in Falcon’s lap.
When he reached into the vehicle, Falcon sped off dragging Johnson. Constable Johnson is
recovering from his injuries.
