The Liberty County Sheriff's Office is reporting the discovery of more human remains in a
wooded area of the county. Two men found some remains in the woods near County Road 133
North in the southern part of the county on Wednesday evening. The Texas Rangers and other
investigators found more remains in the same area on yesterday. The area was recently
underwater because the Trinity River was at flood stage. The Jefferson County Medical
Examiner's Office will examine the remains in an attempt identify them.
