A nine month investigation has led to 16 arrests in the Winnie area. All those arrested are
facing drug charges, mainly related to methamphetamine. The investigation started this past
November following a traffic stop leading to the arrest of Lambert “Ray” Myers. Myers was
convicted and sentenced to 180 months in federal prison. He was responsible for distributing
methamphetamine in Chambers, Jefferson, and Orange counties. Those drugs had an estimated
street value of $500,000. A follow up investigation led to the additional arrests. Additional
arrests could follow as the investigation continues.
